For those who haven’t explored the variety of cannabinoids available on today’s hemp marketplace, we want to offer something of an overview of what each one can bring to the table. The hemp plant possesses over 100 unique cannabinoids in its flowering buds, and each cannabinoid interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) in its own way, working with different receptors in the nervous system to yield different effects and potency levels.
THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the raw precursor to delta 9 THC. Before the compounds in the hemp plant undergo a heating process (decarboxylation), they exist in acidic precursor forms, just like “raw” CBD is called CBDA. THCA is not intoxicating, and its effects are different from those of delta 9 THC. However, when THCA is vaporized, like it is through our vaping products, it turns into delta 9 THC, delivering the same high and potential benefits of the THC that dominates the cannabis plant.
THCA is legal, while delta 9 THC is not, and this is why THCA products are so popular. THCA does not conflict with federal law, as it’s not delta 9 THC. So, companies can put a generous amount of THCA in products to offer a delta 9 high to users, without breaking the law in any way.
Now, we can cover how and why THCA can work quite well with other cannabinoids, especially in a disposable vape form. Keep in mind, the interactions between cannabinoids, often referred to as the "entourage effect”, suggests that cannabinoids may work better together than in isolation. THCA and the cannabinoids we’ll be covering here, might provide a unique combination of effects, but this largely depends on individual biochemistry and the presence of other cannabinoids and terpenes in the product.
Delta 8 THC has been on the hemp market for some time. Isolated by cannabis researchers decades ago, we know quite a bit about delta 8’s properties. It’s roughly 30% less intoxicating than delta 9, meaning that the high is comparatively mild. Plus, people say that it’s extremely soothing – basically, more anxiolytic than other cannabinoids – while providing a sense of ease in the body.
Delta 8 is a naturally occurring byproduct of oxidized delta 9. When delta 9 ages, it partially converts into delta 8, which is why all cannabis has trace amounts of it. Delta 8 can balance out delta 9’s high by offering a more mellow type of experience.
Delta 10 THC is a newcomer. Discovered just a few years ago, delta 10 THC is about as intoxicating as delta 8 – that is, relatively mild compared to delta 9 – but in terms of its properties, it’s sort of the opposite of delta 8. People say that delta 10 feels like a sativa strain of cannabis, offering an uplifting, awareness-enhancing, clear-minded high that can give you an extra pep in your step, so to speak.
Because delta 10 THC is such a new cannabinoid, we don’t know a ton about it. There isn’t any real research exploring its benefits, chemical structure, or unique psychoactive properties. However, it’s been on the hemp market for years now, and there’s lots of promising anecdotal data to learn from.
Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is a cannabinoid that has the mildest high of all. People say that it provides a focus-enhancing, mood-boosting buzz on its own. However, one key thing to know about it is that it can serve as a potentiator for other cannabinoids. This means that when THCV is consumed with another cannabinoid, it can boost the effects of the other, helping them absorb more readily into the body for stronger effects.
This is the main reason why you’ll find THCV in a lot of hemp vapes, as while its effects are great on their own, it can do wonders when it comes to enhancing the efficacy of the other cannabinoids you’re trying to derive effects from.
Tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP) is cannabinoid that was discovered in 2019. A very trace cannabinoid in the plant’s flower buds, THCP is the most potent of them all. It’s said to be about 10x as intoxicating as delta 9 THC, which is why THCP-based products contain what appears to be small amounts of it – basically, too much THCP could very well overwhelm even experienced cannabis users. Its high is known to be deeply euphoric yet tranquil, and the key takeaway is that a little really goes a long way. Balancing it out with milder cannabinoids seems to yield the best results, and that’s what we’ve done at Realize Hemp.
Again, all cannabinoids work synergistically with one another to boost the efficacy and desirable effects of one another. So, at Realize Hemp, we have developed two cannabinoid blends for our 4 Gram Disposables:
To demonstrate what makes our disposables so special, we’re going to compare them to standard 4 gram disposables that are made by other manufacturers in the hemp industry.
Let’s take a look at how our 4 Gram Disposables measure up to the industry standard, by going over each factor below.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: Our 4 Gram Disposables contain zero additives, consisting strictly of cannabinoid and terpene extracts. Our Diamond Line features a blend of delta 8 THC distillate, THCV distillate, and THCA diamonds – that is, the purified, concentrated form of THCA, that’s more potent than distillate – along with terpene extracts, in various strains to choose from – more on that later. Our Top Shelf Line consists of THCA, THCV, delta 8, delta 10, and THCP distillates, balanced to perfection for a dreamy high, and come in strictly top-shelf strains for maximum satisfaction, flavor, and potency.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: There are plenty of other 4 gram disposables out there in various strains and cannabinoid blends, but we can’t guarantee that all of them have been thoughtfully blended and balanced after lots of testing and tweaking. Our blends are curated with a great knowledge of the chemical composition of cannabis, while other companies tend to throw a bunch of cannabinoids and strains together without giving much thought to the end result.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: Our 4 Gram Disposables are ready to vape out of the box, and require no setup, filling, or initial charging. The internal battery is rechargeable, so that you can keep enjoying big clouds until the very last drop of vape oil. Meanwhile, we offer a sophisticated aesthetic, and pocket-friendly, ergonomic design.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: Many of the higher-quantity disposables on the market are bulky, and many of them are lacking in the aesthetics department, while also lacking in ergonomics. Overall, however, the nature of disposables makes most of them user-friendly and low-maintenance.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: We developed leakproof, clog-proof technology into our disposables, which we stand behind so much that if your device runs into either issue, we’ll replace it for free. You won’t find many companies that offer that kind of guarantee. Overall, performance is strong, as our battery is powerful enough to last through a number of charging sessions, and we use exceptional coils to ensure maximum satisfaction behind every pull.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: Clogging, leaking, burnt flavor, and weak batteries are common issues with many disposables on the market. A lot of customers give up on disposables altogether because they think that these issues are just par for the course, and they get tired of wasting their money, only to end up disappointed.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: Our disposables offer features you won’t often see on other brands’ models. Our Power Boost function is button-operated, and offers an extra boost of power behind your pull, so that you can take in bigger, fluffier, more potent, and more flavorful clouds, if you so choose. Meanwhile, our devices come with 3 adjustable heat settings, giving you more control over the quality of your vaping experience to match your precise needs.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: Special features like the ones above aren’t really commonly found on cannabis disposables, making Realize Hemp’s completely unique. Most devices don’t have any kinds of adjustable features, so you have to hope that the brand can match your personal vaping sweet spot.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: We proudly work with organic, local hemp farmers, and use the best extraction methods for our cannabinoids and terpenes. Our disposables are also known for being super fresh, which you can tell by the flavor and aroma as soon as you draw in a cloud. Our third-party lab reports are available on our website, to give customers full confidence that they’re getting the best in terms of quality and safety.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: The quality of a vape oil can vary a lot between different brands, based on how the hemp was cultivated and extracted, how fresh the product is, and whether or not additives are present in the formula.
Realize Hemp 4 Gram Disposables: Realize Hemp has put a lot of effort into selecting the perfect strains for both our Diamond and Top Shelf disposables. As the name implies, the latter comes in only top-shelf strains that go above and beyond in flavor and effects to satisfy you. Overall, both disposables offer a selection of the most in-demand strains you’ll find today.
Other 4 Gram Disposables: Both the quality and variety of strains can vary from one brand to the next, so you’ll always want to research the strains made available by a company to know if they have what you’re looking for.
Choosing a hemp disposable, like selecting any product for personal use, involves considering a variety of factors to ensure it meets your needs and hemp-based vaping preferences such as disposable quality, how easy it is to use, features & functionalities, source of hemp, cannabinoids used in the pre-filled e-liquid, and overall potency when vaping one.
Fortunately, both our disposable vapes meet all these criteria and more. So, let’s explore each disposable vape available on our website.
Our Diamond Bar contains a blend of 3 cannabinoids: delta 8 THC and THCV, both in distillate form, and THCA liquid diamonds, which provide an immensely high-purity concentrate of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid – the precursor to delta 9 THC, which converts into delta 9 once heated, like through vaporization. Delta 8 and THCV are two milder cannabinoids, with the former known for its soothing qualities, and the latter known to introduce feelings of upbeat euphoria and awareness. Together, this trio can make you feel unstoppable.
Our Diamond Bar comes in a variety of tempting strains:
Next up is our Top-Shelf Bar, and the name refers to the fact that this bar comes in only top-shelf strain choices. Each bar features a blend of delta 8 THC, delta 10 THC, THCA, THCP, and THCV. We already covered delta 8, THCA, and THCV earlier, but here, we added two cannabinoids to the formula:
These dynamic strain choices below are sure to make it all worthwhile:
Our disposable truly goes above and beyond to bring maximum satisfaction to vapers, from its incredibly advanced technological features to the strains that you can choose from. Let’s dive right into this product line now, to give you a complete idea of what it brings to the table, and why it’s destined to be your new vape of choice.
Realize Hemp’s 4 Gram Disposable Vape is the result of extensive R&D (research & development), engineering, testing, and tweaking, in order to bring you what we truly believe is the absolute best disposable vape on the market. We’ve witnessed the growing demand for disposable vapes over the last few years but have noticed that a lot of them have ultimately failed to deliver, often presenting clogging/leaking issues, poor-tasting e-liquids, or batteries that die prematurely, leaving the consumer with a useless product. That’s why we waited until we could perfect our design and formula, ensuring nothing but an absolutely flawless vaping experience from the first drop of vape oil to the last.
Both of the disposables in our line contain 4-grams of vape oil consisting strictly of cannabinoid distillates and top-quality, fresh terpene extract, with a selection of sought-after strains that you will never get tired of exploring. The battery is rechargeable, so that you can keep puffing away until the e-liquid fully runs out.
These amazing features & functionalities will further improve your vaping experience, in order to provide a hassle-free and enjoyable session.
Like we said, clogging and leaks are two very common issues that fans of disposables often run into. We refused to release our disposable vape design until we could promise that our customers wouldn’t run into either issue. If your device either clogs or leaks, we promise full money back, since we’re so confident in the design that we came up with. NO CLOG GUARANTEE
If you’re looking for the perfect travel companion, we’ve got you. Despite its exceptional features, it couldn’t be any easier to use and take care of. For one thing, it’s got a slim, compact, pocket-friendly design that makes it easy to take with you wherever you go, and it’s refreshingly lightweight, yet highly durable.
Besides that, this device is ready to vape as soon as you take it out of its packaging. It doesn’t require pre-charging, assembly, or filling of the cartridge with e-liquid. It’s also draw-activated, so you can just pull on the mouthpiece when you want to take in a cloud. The only maintenance that is required is the occasional recharging of the battery.
Our device offers up two features rarely seen in disposable technology: a Power Boost function, in the form of a button that you can press to boost the output for bigger clouds, and 3 heat settings that you can choose from to better personalize your vaping experience according to your personal preferences.
Now that you know what features & functionalities our 4 Gram Disposables have, let’s give you a quick breakdown of both devices.

]]>Delta-9 THC refers to a compound that occurs naturally in the cannabis plant. Cannabis has been used and prized for thousands of years for its effects, though it has only been in recent years that we have seen major legislative efforts to make it legal across the United States.
Delta-9 THC is the most popular compound extracted from the Cannabis sativa species, which includes both marijuana and hemp plants. Many people think of marijuana and hemp as interchangeable; however, they have some significant differences.
One of the primary ways they differ is in the presence of delta-9. Hemp has 0.3% or less delta-9 THC, whereas the marijuana plant can have up to 30% delta-9 THC.
While delta-9 may be the compound you are most familiar with in terms of consumer cannabis products, there are hundreds of other compounds present in the plants. Some have received more attention in recent years as the cannabis product market has grown, and there are now a wide variety of gummies, vapes, and other products showcasing delta-8 THC, delta-10 THC, and others.
As we continue to learn more about the wonders of the cannabis plant, we will likely see even more compounds joining the list of those used in popular products.
The most significant legislation to date in regard to delta-9 THC is tied to the 2018 Farm Bill. This federal law removed hemp from the controlled substances list, allowed for the legal growth and distribution of hemp in the United States, and stipulated that hemp could be sold legally as long as its delta-9 THC content (on a dry weight basis) was 0.3% or less.
To say this was a big deal is truly an understatement. This law completely changed the landscape for hemp farmers, cannabis product makers, and anyone who enjoys the uplifting and euphoric effects of delta-9 THC.
Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, Tennessee residents can purchase hemp-derived delta-9 THC legally. There is a thriving community of hemp growers in the state, and they were already at work taking advantage of the state's mild climate and ideal growing conditions back in 2014 when a prior bill allowed states to test out pilot programs for growing hemp.
Even though hemp-derived delta-9 with a THC content under 0.3% is legal to purchase, that does not mean you are free to consume it anywhere and everywhere in Tennessee.
For example, smoking cannabis would generally be illegal anywhere you cannot smoke tobacco products. Individual cities may have their own ordinances when it comes to cannabis use, and it is best to stay in the know about what those rules are for your community.
Pay close attention to the rules and regulations in your area, which can change as new pieces of legislation are introduced.
While it may be tempting to think you could enjoy your own stash straight from your backyard, that is not the case in Tennessee. The state regulates the growing of hemp, and you would need a license from the Department of Agriculture, even if you only wanted to grow a few plants in your own home.
The Department of Agriculture manages the Tennessee Hemp Program, and there are specific rules and regulations that every grower must abide by in Tennessee, including reporting and record-keeping requirements.
Yes, Tennessee residents can purchase delta-9 THC products online that meet the Farm Bill requirements of having 0.3% THC content or less.
Delta-9 THC and CBD have some similarities but are definitely not the same! CBD is another one of the hundreds of amazing compounds we can extract from the cannabis plant, and it is celebrated in its own right for its many incredible benefits. However, CBD has no psychoactive properties, unlike delta-9 THC. It is not uncommon to find popular consumer products that contain both compounds.
You should only order delta-9 products (or purchase them in person at dispensaries) that are made by reputable brands that prioritize quality ingredients and safe manufacturing processes.
Read labels carefully to ensure the delta-9 THC content is within the legal limits for Tennessee and that there are no "surprise" ingredients in the products you are purchasing. Any reputable manufacturer of cannabis products will be completely transparent about not only their ingredients but also their testing procedures and Certificates of Analysis.
Delta-9 THC will show up on standard drug tests, so it is recommended you abstain from using products if you know you will be screened for an employer. CBD is not generally included in drug screens, but be mindful of the fact that your CBD product may also contain different forms of THC.
Delta-9 THC can elevate any experience and is a favorite everywhere, from the campground to a concert. Using delta-9 THC responsibly means reviewing the rules and regulations of a city or venue in advance. Realize products are portable and discreet, making them a favorite for those who love the uplift of a refreshing buzz any time of day or night.
]]>If you are not familiar with THCP, read on to learn about what may be one of the next big things in consumer cannabis products.
While the cannabis plant has been used for its benefits for thousands of years, it was not until very recently that we discovered THCP. In 2019, this compound was isolated from the plant by scientists for the first time.
The naming convention for THCP illustrates its similarity to THC. Whereas THC represents delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, THCP is short for delta-9 tetrahydrocannabiphoral. Both of these compounds are present in cannabis; however, delta-9 THC is present in much larger quantities, which is one of the reasons it is used in more consumer products. It is simply easier to extract in commercial quantities. THCP is less prevalent in the cannabis plant, so researchers found ways to create it through a conversion process, turning other compounds such as THC or CBD into THCP.
Perhaps the only thing more amazing than the cannabis plant and its hundreds of compounds is what we can do with it once scientists get involved!
The chains of atoms making up compounds in the cannabis plant are where we see the variations that not only define these compounds in terms of structure but also in terms of how they work in our bodies to provide a variety of reactions, from a mellow high to an uplifting and euphoric buzz.
THCP has a similar structure to THC, and the two are distinguished by THC's pentyl chain (which means it has five carbon atoms) and THCP's propyl chain (which means it has three carbon atoms).
Chances are, you are less interested in these scientific notes and more interested in what THCP means in terms of effects, so let's get to that! You may be wondering about trying THCP products and perhaps swapping out your favorite gummy or vape for something that packs a little more punch.
THCP does indeed pack a bigger bunch: it is believed to bind to our bodies' CB1 receptors up to 33 more times than THC does. In plain English, this means it is a significantly "higher high."
We still have a great deal to learn about THCP and its effects, along with many of the other lesser-known compounds in the cannabis plants.
In the handful of years that THCP products have been available, anecdotal evidence has surfaced pointing to this compound as one that creates more intense effects than THC.
Therefore, it is reasonable to assume many users would want to start out with smaller doses of THCP than they would with delta-9 THC, for example.
The key takeaways when it comes to THCP in cannabis consumer products are
THCP will show up in drug screenings just as you would expect from delta-9 THC. Abstain from using THCP products if you know you are going to be tested by an employer.
Urine tests are typically used to detect THC, THCP, and other compounds. These compounds may be present in urine anywhere from a few days to six weeks after the last use. When it comes to a saliva test, THCP may register on the test for up to 10 hours after the last use.
The 2018 Farm Bill made the distribution and sale of hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% (dry weight) THC legal, and in most cases, that same law will apply to THCP.
However, the bill was specific to delta-9 THC and did not specifically name other compounds, though future legislation may address THCP, delta-8 THC, delta-10 THC, and others.
Even though the Farm Bill addressed hemp-derived THC at a federal level, there may be specific ordinances in your city or state that could make it illegal. Be sure to check specific state guidelines and stay in the know to consume and enjoy cannabis products legally and responsibly.
When it comes to highly potent THCP, it is indeed possible to have "too much of a good thing." Because of its potency, THCP, in large doses, could lead to heightened anxiety or extreme drowsiness. Sticking with a really small dose to start could mean the difference between a mellow high and a buzz that is too intense for some tastes. Other potential side effects include dry mouth, nausea, red or dry eyes, and paranoia.
For those who want to stick with a more tried and true cannabis product, delta-9 THC is hard to beat. Realize drink mixes are a refreshing, tasty, and portable way to enjoy THC and CBD for the perfect uplifting buzz. CBD on its own can also provide some great benefits but with no psychoactive effects.
Whatever products you try, make sure you purchase them from a reputable manufacturer devoted to quality and safety. Realize stands proudly behind every product we produce with third-party lab testing and a commitment to ongoing research and development. We are always working to bring you the next best thing in cannabis.
]]>Hot on the heels of delta-9 THC are other beneficial cannabis compounds that are gaining more traction in the marketplace, including delta-10 THC. The naming convention would lead anyone to guess it is similar to delta-9 THC (which is true!), but there are also some significant differences. Read on to learn more about delta-10 THC and what you can expect from it.
Delta-10 THC is a compound that occurs naturally in cannabis, albeit in smaller quantities. Delta-9 THC has been the leading THC compound in consumer products because it is easy to extract in large enough quantities for manufacturing and production.
The fact that delta-10 THC occurs only in trace amounts is not an insurmountable obstacle, however. Scientists discovered methods to convert existing compounds to delta-10 THC through an isomerization process. In plain English, this means using chemicals to alter the structure of an existing compound.
Cannabis compounds each have a unique carbon chain, and this is why we use numbers in the naming conventions. Delta-9 THC has a double bond on the ninth carbon chain. As you can guess, delta-10's double bond is on the tenth carbon chain.
At this point, you may be wondering, if delta-9 THC is easily extracted in large quantities, why go through the process of converting cannabis compounds to delta-10 THC?
One of the most incredible things about hemp-derived compounds is how they can provide a wide variety of different benefits for users based on their own specific needs and wants. This can include everything from a buzzy and euphoric high to a mellow state of relaxation or a natural way to alleviate stress.
Not everyone uses cannabis for a high: CBD is a great example. That compound has no psychoactive effects on its own but has been shown to have many benefits. Delta-9 THC will get you high, CBD will not, and delta-10 lives somewhere in the middle.
Delta-10 THC has psychoactive effects, but users often refer to it as a "lighter high." Therefore, it may be preferred by those who want something more than CBD but with less intensity than delta-9.
Because delta-10 THC is generally milder than delta-9, some users may prefer it for daytime activities, saving delta-9 for the evening hours. It should be noted, however, that dosage is key with all compounds. Just because delta-10 is "lighter" does not mean it would not have some unwanted effects if taken in high dosages.
If you are new to delta-10, start small with a manufacturer's recommended first dose and see how the compound works in your body first.
When it comes to various forms of THC, all answers point back to the 2018 Farm Bill. This legislation removed hemp from the list of controlled substances, making it legal to cultivate and distribute hemp and for manufacturers to sell products containing hemp-derived THC in concentrations of 0.3% or less.
The bill did not specifically name compounds beyond delta-9, though it is expected future legislative efforts will expand to include more hemp-derived compounds. Even with the legal status of hemp outlined in the Farm Bill, some states may have their own additional ordinances and regulations when it comes to products containing hemp-derived THC, so it is best to check for the rules for your particular state. Stay in the know to use and enjoy delta-10 THC legally and responsibly.
You can expect to find delta-10 THC in any of the popular formats used with delta-9 THC: gummies, vapes, chocolates, flower, and more. As continued research uncovers the benefits of delta-10 THC, and as legislative efforts continue in support of hemp farmers, you will likely see even more delta-10 products entering the market.
You should expect delta-10 THC to show up in a drug screening in the same way you would expect delta-9 THC to show up. Most employers use urine screenings to detect THC (or other substances), and if you expect to be tested, you should abstain from using delta-10 THC.
Yes! Delta-10 products are legal to ship as long as there are no specific laws or regulations in your own state making it illegal.
The key to purchasing delta-10 products (or any hemp-derived THC products, for that matter) is to buy only from trusted and reputable brands that focus on quality ingredients and testing. You should also read labels carefully and understand exactly what is included.
For example, a CBD product may also contain THC, which could be surprising to someone who is only looking for the benefits of CBD without a high. Do your homework when it comes to cannabis products, and make sure you are not purchasing from a company that is anything less than fully transparent about its ingredients and testing procedures.
Our selection of edibles, vapes, and mouthwatering drink mixes represent the very best in hemp-derived THC. Any product you order from us is guaranteed to satisfy you with an uplifting buzz.
Realize products are loved everywhere, from the campground to the concert ground to an average Thursday night at home. Our products are third-party tested, and we are committed to sharing information with our customers. We can't wait for you to realize the Realize difference!
]]>Delta-9 THC has dominated the cannabis consumer product market in recent years, but with more research devoted to uncovering the benefits of additional compounds, you have likely seen new products featuring delta-8 and delta-10 as well.
Delta-8 might be best described as delta-9’s slightly less intense little sister. Like delta-9 THC, delta-8 is found in marijuana but in much smaller quantities than delta-9.
Because delta-8 can also produce a refreshing, mellow, and uplifting high, it was only a matter of time before some smart people in lab coats figured out how to get around its limited quantities in marijuana by producing it synthetically from hemp instead.
Delta-8 THC made from hemp can be used in a wide variety of products, from gummies to vapes, and it is available to purchase legally in many states thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. If you are unfamiliar with the Farm Bill, this is the landmark legislation that paved the way for hemp-derived delta-9 THC to be sold legally, and both delta-8 and delta-10 products often fall under this area as long as they are extracted from hemp with less than 0.3% THC.
The Farm Bill did not address or name delta-8 and delta-10 specifically, so in some states, legislators are working to clarify how the law treats these compounds, and we will likely see it spelled out in future pieces of legislation.
(Tip: don’t forget that while hemp-derived THC is legal, there are still many rules about how and where it can be shipped, as well as ordinances specific to your own state. Stay in the know and purchase and use your products responsibly, according to your own state laws.)
Delta-10 is similar to delta-8 as a compound that occurs naturally in marijuana but in small quantities. We simply cannot extract enough delta-10 THC from marijuana to make it viable in large-scale manufacturing of products. However, like delta-8, it can be produced synthetically from hemp, so all systems are go for more delta-10 products in the future.
The difference between delta-8 and delta-10 comes down to the way its atoms are arranged. The number in the naming convention describes where the double carbon bond occurs. In the former, it is in the eighth position of the chain; in the latter, it is in (you guessed it) the 10th.
Setting all that science aside, you may be thinking, “Why should this matter to me? Is there any difference I will notice if I use delta-8 THC instead of delta-10 THC, or vice versa?”
There are some important distinctions between the effects of delta-8 and delta-10, which could guide your decision-making about the times you might want to use each one.
Both delta-8 and delta-10 provide the buzzy effects of THC, but you may not want the same level of “mellow” at a concert as you might during a lazy afternoon at the park, for example. Generally, the two compounds are distinguished from each other in this way:
Bear in mind any time you try out a new product, whether it’s a delta-8 gummy or a delta-10 vape, you should always follow the manufacturer’s recommended guidelines for dosing. Play it safe by starting out with smaller doses and seeing how your body reacts to the THC.
You can always safely increase the dose once you find that sweet spot and your ultimate uplifting buzz. Overdoing it proves the old adage that sometimes you CAN have too much of a good thing. The best THC buzz is one that uplifts you without making you anxious or mellows you without sending you right to bed (unless it's sleep you are after, and then more power to you).
You bet they can! Many products include both THC and CBD for an amazing and unbeatable blend of relaxing and uplifting effects. At Realize, we love to harness the goodness of both hemp-derived THC and CBD in our products, and we know our customers love the results.
CBD and THC can work together beautifully and give you an incredibly gratifying hemp experience, whether you are enjoying it alone or sharing a refreshing buzz among friends.
Bear in mind that delta-8 THC and delta-10 THC will show up in a drug screening just like delta-9, so be sure to consider that when using products that may interfere with an employment drug screen.
Tests for CBD alone are rare; however, you need to check CBD products carefully to determine if they also contain THC. Do your homework and research labels carefully. Any reputable manufacturer will make their ingredients abundantly clear. If you cannot find that information easily, steer clear of that product.
You deserve to know exactly what is in any THC or CBD consumer product, and Realize is proud of not only our transparency when it comes to ingredients but also the fact that everything we sell has been third-party lab tested. Check out our guide to Certificate of Analysis (COA) for more information.
When it comes to any of these forms of THC, personal preferences will always vary. One user’s perfect buzz may not be euphoric enough to suit someone else’s. The good news is that there are options out there for everyone!
Portable, discreet and reliable THC products are the name of the game for Realize, and we are confident our drink mixes, edibles, and vapes will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed, whether they contain delta-8, delta-9, or delta-10.
Our hemp-derived products are loaded with live resin and all-natural terpenes for the ultimate and fast-acting experience. We take great pride in our attention to detail, ensuring every product we sell uses only the best ingredients.
Give us a try, and we guarantee you will love everything, from our delicious drink mixes to our mouthwatering edibles.
]]>While most people will have heard of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the compound that gives you a delightful buzz in cannabis, not many will have heard of THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid), which comes right before THC.
So what is it, and is THCa safe?
THCa is the non-psychoactive compound in cannabis, and it's the precursor to THC. When you set THCa on fire (as many people do with cannabis), you get THC. The two are closely linked yet deliver such different effects.
Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, or THCa, is what you get when cannabis is in its raw form. You get THC by heating or "decarbing" cannabis. Once it goes through decarboxylation, it's no longer in its raw form, and the acidic compound (THCa) undergoes chemical changes to become THC. It is this transition that brings about the euphoric effects of cannabis, should you happen to inhale or ingest the resulting compound (THC).
Yes, THCa is safe to use. In fact, there are some promising studies that show THCa is not only safe to use but it does have some potential medical and health benefits.
Since THCa contains antioxidant, neuroprotective, and anti-inflammatory properties, research shows that it can offer the following therapeutic benefits:
While THCa and THC are different compounds, THCa has some of the same benefits as THC, but you would have to take it through the process of decarboxylation (introducing heat) first to turn it into THC.
The secondary compound does offer a great deal of benefits, especially for people who struggle with their appetite, sleep, and chronic discomfort.
There are arguments that, unlike THC, THCa has very few side effects. These arguments, however, are often contravened by others who say that since THCa is the precursor to THC, both can have similar side effects. Therefore, if you have any kind of sensitivity to THC, you should assume that THCa would produce the same kind of reaction in you.
Here are the most common side effects that are often experienced when using THCa:
However, since THCa is the non-psychoactive precursor of THC, there's a high likelihood that the side effects listed here will be much milder, if at all. It should also be noted that the generally positive side effects of THC, such as feeling mellow, having a buzz, or some kind of euphoria, won't come from THCa.
That being said, THCa can show up on drug tests. Furthermore, it can interact with prescription medication, so be sure to talk to your doctor about it if you are on any kind of medication.
There are several ways you can use THCa. One of the most common ways is to actually eat it without necessarily setting it on fire, which will give you THC.
When it comes to consuming it, raw cannabis can be incorporated into a number of food options, but the most popular option is juicing it to improve the taste. You can also buy THCa tinctures or topicals, which can be consumed directly.
Another excellent option is to use transdermal patches, which are technically THCa topicals. If you are going to go this route, be sure that the product is listed as THCa and not THC. Using THCa in this way will not give you a buzz unless it's listed as THC.
Simply put, the best way to take THCa is one that works for you. As long as you do not introduce heat, you will experience the benefits that come with THCa as opposed to THC.
Yes, THCa is legal in many states, but as with almost everything else related to this topic, there's a bit more to it than meets the eye.
One of the main reasons THCa is legal in many states is because America revised the Farm Bill in 2018. This revision created a legal distinction between cannabis and hemp plants. Within this revision, hemp was defined as cannabis plants that have no more than 0.3% THC when considering dried weight.
As a result, hemp plants were generally removed from the federal list of controlled substances. However, cannabis and other high delta-9 THC concentrations remained on that list.
Note: Whenever you are buying any THCa products, be sure to check the sources, as cannabis remains illegal in many states.
The Controlled Substances Act, therefore, doesn't list isomers of THC or THCa as banned. As a result, many CBD brands use this loophole to produce THCa and THC products from legally approved hemp crops.
Simply put, THCa is safe to use just be sure to buy your products from a reputable source and use them responsibly and as directed.
]]>For example, what are THCa and THC, and where do all the numbers come into play? You will find that most people know about THC as a compound, and many know about THCa; some even know that the two are related. However, once you start splitting those hairs, you begin to lose a good number.
THC, for instance, is a name that is generally used to describe both delta-8 and delta-9 cannabis compounds. They are both called THC, and they are both deltas, but there is a difference between 8 and 9.
THCa, on the other hand, is completely different from THC and the deltas. THCa is the precursor to THC, and when you introduce heat to THCa, you get THC, which is the psychoactive compound of cannabis. But how do you get delta-8 and 9?
Let's take a quick look at these different compounds and how they affect your body. Once you know exactly how they are formed and what they bring to the table, you will be better placed to decide who wins in your book as far as the THCa vs delta-8 debate is concerned.
The fact that THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the precursor to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), both 8 and 9, means that it needs to be discussed and understood first. THCa is an acidic compound that naturally occurs in hemp or cannabis plants.
While it's therapeutic, THCa doesn't contain the psychoactive properties that cause euphoria or intoxication when you take hemp or cannabis. For that, you would have to introduce heat to THCa through a process called decarboxylation, which will give you THC, which is the psychoactive compound in hemp and cannabis.
While a lot more research is certainly needed, studies show that THCa has great potential as a therapeutic compound. Some of its benefits include anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, and neuroprotective properties that can help relieve the pain and discomfort associated with certain degenerative diseases, such as cancer. In fact, most people who specifically consume THCa do so for its potential health benefits.
Being a naturally occurring non-psychoactive compound found in hemp and cannabis plants, THCa is not like THC delta-8 in that it does not give you that feeling of euphoria or high. It does, however, have several associated health benefits.
Some of the most common therapeutic effects of THCa on the human body include:
It should, however, be noted that further research into this field is necessary to determine just how effective THCa is as a therapeutic remedy for any of these conditions. Further studies should help determine which potency levels and dosages are necessary for individuals to feel and benefit from these therapeutic properties.
Apart from potentially being a useful therapeutic remedy, there are several other benefits of THCa as a compound in the cannabis family. For one thing, THCa is very versatile and can be consumed in a number of different ways, including being added to smoothies, juicing raw cannabis, and using it as part of the ingredients for edibles.
Another major advantage of THCa is that it is much easier to access than THC. Because it's a naturally occurring compound that can be found in hemp and cannabis plants, THCa is legal. This holds as long as the THCa in question contains less than 0.3% THC and is derived from a hemp plant. This gives people who live in states where THC isn't legal a loophole to still possess, use, and benefit from the therapeutic properties of THCa.
In fact, these people can simply introduce some heat to their legally obtained THCa to get the same euphoric effects of cannabis or hemp from the resulting THC.
While THCa isn't a psychoactive compound like THC, and consuming it may not produce the same euphoric results, it is still a cannabis or hemp compound and the precursor to THC. It's, therefore, logical to assume that some of the same residual side effects may occur.
With that in mind, here are some of the most common side effects of consuming THCa.
It's important to note that, just like with its potential therapeutic properties and benefits, some more research is required to fully understand the potential side effects of THCa on the human body, especially when it comes to prolonged use.
When you introduce heat to THCa, you get THC through a process called decarboxylation. The THC you get is called delta-9 THC, which is a well-known psychoactive compound in hemp and cannabis. Delta-8 is a derivative of delta-9 THC, which makes it a minor cannabinoid.
Its chemical composition is slightly different from delta-9, thanks to a process that involves molecular rearrangement. Delta-8 has become quite popular in recent years, especially since it can be considered a legal alternative to THC in many states.
Compared to delta-9, delta-8 is milder. It has been known to give users a more relaxed euphoria or intoxication than delta-9 THC. It also presents fewer feelings of paranoia or anxiety when used correctly. In fact, some users have reported feeling a bit more clear-headed and focused when using delta-8. Some even find it more relaxing and a bit more of a sedative.
Since delta-8 is a THC derivative, the best way to consume it often involves vaping or smoking it. You can, however, use other options such as tinctures, edibles, and other THC-related products.
Unlike THCa, delta-8 isn't a naturally occurring compound in hemp or cannabis. It is, however, a derivative of both THCa and THC (delta-9). To get delta-8 from delta-9, chemical conversion must occur.
In this process, delta-9 THC is selectively isolated from the cannabis extract and exposed to pressure, heat, or other chemical agents, depending on the manufacturer. This process alters the delta-9 molecular structure to give you delta-8 THC.
It should be noted that even though delta-8 is legal in many states, it is still a controlled substance in a few. You are, therefore, advised to stay current with the legal situation regarding the possession and use of delta-8 where you live. It's also advisable to use it as directed and to avoid abusing delta-8 to minimize any possible side effects that may occur.
Even though delta-8 is known to produce a much milder effect when compared to the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis (delta-9 THC), its effects still vary depending on a few factors, such as the individual using it, the manner in which it is used, and the dosage. With that in mind, here are some of the most common delta-8 effects on the human body.
Delta-8 is very similar to delta-9 THC; as such, there are going to be some overlapping effects. Mild euphoria is one such effect. As a psychoactive compound in and of itself, delta-8 can cause feelings of intoxication, albeit milder than what you would get when using delta-9 THC.
Delta-8 has also been known to increase one's appetite or give them "the munchies."
Some users may experience increased creativity and productivity as delta-8 can bring mental clarity as well as focus.
It should be noted that these effects vary from individual to individual. Some people may experience the negative side effects of delta-8, such as red eyes, cottonmouth, and impaired movement. This often happens when you consume the product in large quantities or dosages.
The trick is to take it slowly and introduce your body to a professionally produced dose of delta-8 without overdoing it.
Unlike its close counterpart, delta-9 THC, delta-8 is widely accepted and legal in most states, which makes it easily accessible. As such, it's much easier to experiment with and experience the positive effects of delta-8 THC than it is of delta-9 THC in most states.
Another benefit of delta-8 is how versatile it can be. You can take delta-8 in a variety of ways, including smoking, vaping, tinctures, and even edibles. The best part is that thanks to its milder effects and intensity, delta-8 is something that even people who have never used cannabis before can try out before they get their sea legs.
THCa vs. delta-8, which one is best for you? This really depends on what you want to achieve. If you are looking for something that will give you a buzz but not one that is as intense as delta-9 THC, then delta-8 is what you want. It's milder and offers some wonderful benefits, such as mental clarity and increased creativity, while also giving you that euphoric feeling that is closely associated with cannabis.
However, if you aren't after a buzz but need something that you can use to alleviate pain and nausea, then you should try THCa. You should remember that every single one of these compounds reacts differently in each individual, and they should each be used with caution.
]]>The renewed interest and increased commercial availability of hemp-infused oil products have raised questions about the legality of their use and probable outcomes on drug tests for individuals. They are imbued with both therapeutic and psychoactive properties, which places them in the middle of a legal gray area.
You should be asking, ‘Does THCa show up on a drug test?’ even before you get to if THCa will cause you to fail one. The straightforward answers to these questions are yes, THCa will show up on a drug test, and it may cause you to fail, depending on the circumstances under which it is being administered. Keep reading if you don’t intend to fail that test.
We need to talk about tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) before you can grasp the significance of THCa. It is the primary psychoactive constituent of cannabis, which is why it is regulated by federal law. Under United States federal law, it is illegal to use, sell, and possess any cannabis product containing over 0.3% THC by dry weight.
THC has a naturally occurring inactive precursor known as THC acid, tetrahydrocannabinolic or tetrahydrocannabinol-carboxylic acid (THCa). THCa is a key analyte or substance of interest in many drug tests. They are designed to identify it and measure its concentration, which should be strange considering it’s inactive. Let’s find out why.
Looking for this inactive THC metabolite is common practice for both federally regulated and non-regulated drug tests. The main reason for these tests is to determine if there is THC in your system and whether the concentration impairs your functionality.
As a precursor of THC, THCa is kept inactive by a carboxyl group that decarboxylates under heat and, when dry, forms the psychoactive THC. This is able to bind to your body’s sensory receptors, which is why it should be regulated. It is also a metabolite of THC, meaning it is an intermediate (or end) product of the metabolic reactions that your body's enzymes will catalyze as they process THC.
Therefore, the higher the concentration of THCa, the more THC you are deemed to have taken. Some people will use this to judge your competence for the task at hand, which is not always accurate.
THCa is federally legal throughout the US after the 2018 Farm Bill made hemp products legal, provided they contained less than 0.3% THC content. You can even breed some strains of hemp with a higher THCa concentration with the same TCA limit.
Besides the federal government, there are local and state authorities with their own regulations that you should abide by. Other parties who have the right to investigate what you are putting in your body are the people who will be administering the actual blood test.
It could be your school, employer, or local police, among other entities. The level of THCa that they allow will vary from one to another. You need to comply to pass their tests.
The simple answer is yes; if you vape, dab, or smoke a THCa product shortly before a drug test, it will show up on the test. Most urine tests are designed to analyze THCa's presence in the body.
Drug tests are conducted for different purposes.
These are just a few scenarios; there are countless others. The aftermath of the test results will be highly influenced by the reason the test is being conducted in the first place. You should also know that testing positive for THCa doesn’t automatically mean you used it recently or that your functionality is impaired.
Because the negative consequences of the drug test can be serious, the process should not end at the initial screening. Sometimes, the initial screening will show a THC metabolite reading that is above the regulatory cutoff, but the concentration at the confirmatory test reads below the cutoff. If the signal can’t be clearly distinguished, it is reported as a negative.
That THCa concentration is below the lab’s limit of detection does not mean that there isn’t any THC in your system. It can also mean that the product you took is within the federally accepted THC concentration levels.
Medical marijuana has been legalized in many states; other states have even legalized recreational marijuana. Confirmed positive tests have to be reviewed by a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). The role of this physician is to determine whether there is a legitimate medical explanation as to why it’s in your system.
If you are able to provide a legitimate recent prescription that the MRO can confirm, the test may be deemed negative. The MRO can back up their findings so the report doesn’t look like a false negative.
Private employers are not bound by federal regulations and enjoy the discretion of making their own in-house policies when it comes to testing and what is considered legitimate use. In this situation, you want to freshen up on your company policies to establish your limits. They may go easy on you.
THCa is legal when used within its limitations. The products need to have been extracted from actual hemp plants and shouldn’t contain more than 0.3% THC.
Hemp-derived products are sold over the Internet and in stores or dispensaries in states where the use of cannabis is allowed for recreational or medical purposes. They aren’t regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for content, so there are chances that a host of cannabinoid chemicals, including THC, will contaminate them. That’s how easy it is to test positive for THCa from a urine drug test.
Look for shops or dispensaries that are compliant with these regulations and are willing to display the concentration of CBD, THC, and other ingredients in their products. The brand also matters because the makers of the product are the ones who know if they are truly federally compliant and if the wording on the packaging is a true reflection of the products.
Consider the regulations and policies of the institutions that will be administering the drug test when choosing the product. There is a vast selection of flowers, oils, edibles, drinks, vapes, and many others to choose from. Ensure your THCa concentration will not exceed its required levels during those random checks. Consider how long THCa stays in the system.
]]>According to the Farm Bill of 2018, any products derived from hemp or the plant with no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC are legal. This federal law is supported, at least currently, in the state.
The Farm Bill specifically provides that all CBD products must originate from a hemp plant that doesn’t contain more than 0.3% THC to be legal. While you can possess products from hemp plants in Texas, you cannot grow or cultivate hemp plants in the state.
There is also a ban on making and processing smokable hemp products, including THC. This law was upheld in 2022, and while it restricts the type of THC products you can buy, it similarly applies to HHC, which determines if you are allowed to buy and sell hemp-based products in Texas with no more than 0.3% of the active ingredient.
While recent legislation has loosened some of the restrictions around the possession and use of HHC, the DEA indicated that THC is technically illegal in Texas because it is derived synthetically from hemp and doesn't meet the current criteria as a legal product. HHC offers many of the same mellow, pleasant effects as THC, which makes it a popular choice.
As long as a hemp-based product contains less than 0.3%, it is not considered a controlled substance and can be bought, sold, and enjoyed for recreational and medicinal purposes.
Reviewing any product's HHC content is vital to ensure it adheres to Texas laws. This is essential if you're traveling from another state, where the legal requirements differ, as this can significantly impact you when you visit out of state.
A federal law in 2018 legalized hemp, which Texas followed in 2019, where hemp was legalized, and HHC products remained illegal. While many people generally support the legalization of these products, such as Delta 9, there is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding when it comes to clarifying which products are permitted in the state.
Not only have many people found the change in law difficult to understand in a practical sense, but it’s also been challenging for the courts and how to enforce these new laws.
While the Texas Supreme Court ruled that hemp cannot be made or processed within the state in June of 2022, selling, possessing, and buying hemp in the state remains legal. Products containing HHC fall under this category.
Some individuals experience relief from symptoms associated with these and other conditions, and for this reason, they are permitted to use products that contain up to 1% HHC.
One of the biggest reasons there have been changes to state laws regarding the use and possession of products that contain HHC is based on safety and long-term effects. While hemp products, including those with a low percentage of HHC, are considered generally safe, the Texas Medical Association has requested further research into the effects of these products and their effectiveness as a medicinal option.
While the FDA hasn’t specifically approved HHC for use, it generally follows the same guidelines as other hemp products. There are often concerns about how they interact with medications and their side effects.
As further studies provide more information on the effects of THC products, either for medicinal or recreational use, Texas legislation may change over time. Becoming familiar with all changes to the law is important, as they can quickly impact how you buy and enjoy hemp products containing various HHC levels.
A total of nineteen states permit hemp products with HHC, and while they have legalized it, there are regulations in place to limit the amount of possession and the level. In 2022, further changes to seventeen states allowed for products with higher THC concentration specifically for medicinal reasons, and ten other states have since permitted low THC levels, including Texas.
A handful of states do not provide legalization, though, like Texas, it’s worthwhile to monitor laws from the states you visit and live in, as they can easily change to include or restrict access to hemp products that contain HHC.
Whether you're new to visiting Texas or plan on traveling often to the state, or relocating, it pays to get familiar with hemp and HHC-based products and their legal limitations. Researching ahead of your planned trip or move can give you a solid idea of what you can buy, sell, and possess during your stay and if there's an option to travel out of state by air or rail with THC products. HHC products are subject to similar laws in Texas, which is important to keep in mind when you decide to buy or bring products into the state.
While Texas' current laws surrounding HHC concentration and possession limitations may seem confusing, they offer a glimpse into greater access and flexibility for various products in the future.
Like many other states, Texas has decriminalized and allowed for more access to hemp-based products, which is promising. Despite this shift towards legalizing more HHC-infused products, it’s important to understand the consequences and legal penalties for possessing more than the permitted amount.
It’s also crucial to review regulations and policies regarding travel in and through the state with hemp products, as airlines and transportation services may prohibit or restrict carrying hemp products, including those that contain small amounts of HHC.
]]>On a federal level, HHC is legal, though the wording and details surrounding this legislation are considered unclear and, at times, confusing. This was brought into law with the 2018 Farm Bill, which stipulates that derivatives of hemp products, including CBD and HHC, are legal; however, these items must be derived from hemp plants only. The Farm Bill provides details on which products are legally acceptable and permitted by law, which is similarly adopted by the state and must have no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC.
Since HHC is closely related to THC, the laws surrounding both can be a bit challenging to understand at first glance. HHC is similar in that it contains the same formula as THC, though it’s genetically a bit different. HHC is also known as an isomer of THC and is regulated in much the same way as hemp, CBD, and THC products. While HHC is extracted from hemp, it doesn’t legally fall under the same category as CBD or THC. For this reason, it’s legal in California, provided it is derived from hemp plants only.
HHC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the lesser-known relative of CBD and THC, and is not as heavily regulated or legislated into California’s state law or federal law, which makes it less restrictive for those who choose to buy and enjoy its uplifting, mellow effects. You can find HHC in various strains synthetically made through hydrogen atoms and added to THC molecules as part of a hydrogenation process. While its effects are similar to THC, it won’t give you the same intense buzz as THC, and instead, offers a more calming, relaxing effect.
When HHC is hemp-based and derived only from hemp plants, it’s not considered a controlled substance, which means it doesn’t fall under the legal restrictions of this category. The state and federal law can present challenges in how THC is categorized by law, which is listed as a controlled substance under federal law but not under California’s law. When you review the Farm Bill, introduced in 2018, THC and its isomer, HHC, are considered legal with restrictions, provided they are extracted from hemp plants.
If you’re traveling or staying in California, getting familiar with the laws of regular CBD and THC plant-extracted products, such as gummies, flowers, and drinks, is crucial. Since HHC is fairly new, it may apply similarly to current laws that regulate THC, though technically, it remains legal. According to the state’s law, individuals who want to buy, sell, or possess CBD and THC products must be at least 21 years of age. You may carry no more than one ounce of flower or buds or up to 8 grams of a product that contains CBD and THC. While it’s not explicitly stated, applying these rules to HHC is logical.
Oils, flowers, and edible products containing HHC are still considered THC-related. While current laws don’t specifically include HHC conclusively, you can apply the same state laws to this isomer. It’s important to remember that while THC and HHC-based products are legal, the concentration must not exceed 0.3%.
Since HHC is legal in the state, you can buy various products that must be extracted from hemp plants and contain no more than 0.3% THC. You’ll find that regulated shops and providers of CBD and THC products will provide all the details you need, including the concentration of HHC, THC, CBD, and other ingredients and their possible effects. Many dispensaries around the state provide many options, from vapes and edibles to drinks, lotions, and flowers.
While California is one of the most flexible states regarding the legalization of THC and HHC, it's worth researching current state and federal law changes, as these can impact your access to CBD and related products. Whether you're traveling to the state for the first time, staying for a while, or relocating to California, understanding the laws regarding THC and HHC concentrations and what's legally available is important. You may find that over time, the maximum quantity you're allowed to possess, enjoy, sell, and buy during your visit to the state.
If you're considering traveling from out of state with your favorite gummies or HHC-infused drink, you must check with your airline and state laws regarding flying or crossing state lines with THC and CBD products. Fortunately, you'll find that California is one of the most welcoming states when it comes to enjoying your favorite strain of CBD or THC, with a wide variety of high-quality products and shops that provide everything you need. While the laws surrounding HHC, and both federal and state laws, learning more about California's legislation will help you navigate which products and options are available to you.
]]>Is adding your favorite CBD or THC-infused products to your carry-on or luggage a good idea? When you weigh your options, it’s important to consider the factors that may impact whether you should carry Delta 9 on your next vacation within the US.
Where national laws may allow for minimal amounts of THC or CBD, state laws can vary considerably, including restrictions that could impact what you can bring on your flight. While there is a more relaxed outlook on the uplifting and mellow buzz of CBD and THC-infused drinks, edibles, and flowers, some forms are illegal. As a result, these products are prohibited on airlines based on state and national laws.
Please read over the TSA website on items you can bring here.
Individual airlines may enforce strict rules and policies that do not allow THC or CBD products, including Delta 9, even within states or regions where it’s lawful. These airlines implement strict policies to avoid variations from one state to another by keeping their rules uniform and consistent. When you book your flight for your next out-of-state family visit or vacation, you’ll want to check with the airline and review their policies beforehand.
Leaving it at home is best if the airline you book prohibits THC and related products. These policies are enforced despite laws that support carrying and using CBD drinks and edibles from the state you depart from to the one you visit.
It’s also important to inquire about traveling with specific airlines if exceptions are made for medical purposes. However, an airline will typically prohibit THC products completely if it is their policy or rule.
When airlines accommodate passengers, allowing them to carry or include a limited amount of Delta 9, it’s important to find how much is permitted so you don’t bring too much.
Once you clarify what’s allowed on your flight, your next step is to research the state and the laws regarding THC and CBD products. States that allow Delta 9 include Connecticut, California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Massachusetts, among others. If you fly out of the US, some countries permit Delta 9, including Croatia, Sweden, and Germany.
Once you know more about your airline and destination and confirm that you’re allowed to carry Delta 9 products, it’s important to prepare ahead as follows:
You may want to carry your favorite Delta 9 product on your next flight for several reasons. You may experience nervousness, stress, or difficulty sleeping, which THC can alleviate.
Delta is a helpful way to relax, especially before your flight or on the way to your destination. It’s a great way to enjoy an uplifting, mellow experience during your flight.
With a bit of research and familiarity with current laws and policies, you can better prepare for your flight and whether or not Delta 9 is a good option to bring along. It’s worthwhile to take the extra time and effort to know your airline’s policies and the laws of every state or country you plan to visit to avoid hassles at the airport and with regulations.
Always ensure that all the information you obtain is up-to-date and relevant, as laws and policies can change over time. Preparing ahead means you’ll have a more pleasant trip!
]]>
If you travel with a hemp-derived product that contains no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC, you can carry this on your checked luggage or in carry-on bags on your next flight. Before you fly, you'll want to check with several sources to be certain there are no additional restrictions that may prohibit hemp products:
Preparing ahead can give you peace of mind, knowing you’re following all the applicable laws while avoiding unnecessary hassles and delays. You'll want to ensure you can enjoy your favorite uplifting hemp product without issues!
Please read over the TSA website on items you can bring here.
You might want to bring along your favorite gummies or massage oil for many reasons. Some people are nervous before a flight, and a mild, uplifting edible can provide relief before boarding and takeoff. It’s a great way to ease tension if you’re looking to unwind after a busy week at work and need a mellow start to your vacation.
If your flight is long, and you’re traveling halfway around the globe or making several stopovers, a bit of relaxation can help you sleep and regain energy for the next leg of your trip.
While bringing along hemp products is ideal for many and growing in popularity, it’s important to learn about each country’s laws to ensure you’re not violating any laws when you arrive by plane. Some countries allow limited amounts of hemp, while others strictly prohibit any hemp or related items.
On your way home, you may find hemp-infused drinks, gummies, and topical lotions or creams, which are ideal for relaxing if your hotel bed is uncomfortable or you’re treating a sunburn from the beach. Topical creams and oils are also soothing and help your muscles and joints relax, especially if you have a long flight home.
Are you flying within the US, inside one state, or from one state to another? You’ll be able to bring along the legal amount of hemp, up to 0.3% Delta 9 THC, in your favorite hemp-based products.
While federal laws allow for CBD and limited THC concentration, you’ll need to check with each state you visit, as some have very strict rules, and some airlines also prohibit bringing hemp products on flights. If you’re in doubt about the laws in the state you’re traveling to, it’s best to skip the gummies or topical cream and see what options you can find when you arrive.
If you’re traveling to another country, you’ll find that while many countries have legalized hemp products, many more countries outright ban or restrict them. It’s vital to ensure that you do not bring any products that may put you at risk, especially in countries that have banned all hemp or hemp-related products, which may result in severe consequences.
When you determine that the country you're traveling to permits hemp, there may still be restrictions on the amount you can bring into the country, if any, and whether you can bring any home after your vacation. If you're uncertain about the laws that allow or restrict these products, it's best to leave them at home and see where you can acquire them when you travel to your destination.
The best way to prepare for your domestic or international trip and plan whether or not to bring hemp is to research. The more information you know, the more at peace you'll be when you bring your favorite package of gummies or topical hemp oil on your next trip.
Ideally, before you travel, contact your airline, look up your state's laws, and research other countries' laws around hemp are essential. You'll also need to decide how much you can bring, whether to store it in checked luggage or carry-on and how to store it discreetly and carefully so that it's not too hidden but not easily lost during your vacation.
]]>Delta 9 THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary psychoactive component found in the Cannabis sativa plant. This is the compound that most people refer to when they talk about THC, and it's the chemical responsible for the typical 'high' feeling associated with marijuana consumption. Delta 9 THC acts on the body's endocannabinoid system, binding to CB1 receptors in the brain, which leads to a range of effects, including mood alterations, altered sensory perception, and euphoria.
Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC are very similar in terms of their chemical structure, but a slight difference in the placement of a double bond results in somewhat different effects. Delta-9 THC has this bond on the ninth carbon chain, while Delta-8 THC has it on the eighth carbon chain.
Delta-9 THC is much more potent and has stronger psychoactive effects than Delta-8 THC. Delta-8 THC, on the other hand, is known for a more subtle, relaxed, and clear-headed high, with less potency and a lower likelihood of inducing anxiety or paranoia compared to Delta-9 THC.
Delta 9 THC is recognized for its potent psychoactive effects. Consumption of this compound typically induces feelings of euphoria, heightened sensory perception, and altered time perception. It can also stimulate appetite and produce a sense of relaxation or peace.
However, the effects can vary greatly between individuals and may also depend on the dose and method of consumption. In some cases, Delta 9 THC might also lead to adverse effects such as anxiety, paranoia, dizziness, and dry mouth.
At the time of writing, Delta 9 THC, derived from hemp, enjoys legal status both in Georgia and on the federal level, courtesy of the 2018 Farm Bill. In 2019, Georgia's Governor Brian Kemp gave his assent to House Bill 213, effectively legalizing all hemp-derived derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, and isomers.
While Delta 8 and CBD don't have any set concentration limits, Delta 9 THC does come with a restriction. The concentration of hemp-derived Delta-9 must be 0.3% or less, based on dry weight. If you intend to buy Delta 9 in Georgia and travel out of state, it is crucial to verify the legality of hemp-derived Delta 9 in your destination state.
Navigating where to purchase Delta 9 products should not be difficult in Georgia. Although keep in mind, many products may contain Delta 8 THC or CBD rather than Delta 9 THC. You can find hemp-derived Delta 9 products at your local CBD stores or hemp, vape and smoke shops. But, if this is inconvenient, avoid the hassle and buy Delta 9 products online in Georgia.
The safety of Delta 9 THC, like any other substance, depends largely on the amount consumed and the individual's unique physiological response. In moderate doses, it is generally considered safe for adults. However, it can have side effects, particularly when consumed in large quantities or by inexperienced users. These can include paranoia, anxiety, panic attacks, and hallucinations.
Long-term use of Delta 9 THC can lead to the development of tolerance, dependence, and could potentially contribute to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety disorders.
The use of Delta 9 THC is not recommended for pregnant women, people with a history of psychosis, or individuals with a high risk of heart disease. Furthermore, as with all substances, it is crucial to start with a low dose and gradually increase it, while monitoring your body's responses.
]]>As long as it's extracted from hemp and the concentration does not exceed 0.3% concentration by dry weight, purchasing Delta-9 in Florida is permitted.
If you're intrigued by Delta-9 products and what they can bring to the table, stick with us. In this article, we delve into hemp-derived Delta 9 THC, its legality, and its potential effects.
Delta 9 THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. It's known for the "high" sensation it induces when consumed. Delta 9 THC operates by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system, specifically binding to the CB1 receptors in the brain. This interaction leads to changes in mood, consciousness, and perception, which can be pleasurable for some, while disconcerting for others.
The effects of Delta 9 THC can vary greatly, depending on the dose and the individual's tolerance. When consumed, Delta 9 THC typically induces feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and altered sensory perception. It may also stimulate appetite, commonly referred to as "the munchies."
However, these effects can differ from person to person and could potentially induce anxiety, paranoia, or dizziness, particularly in larger doses. Some users may also experience dry mouth and red eyes, which are common side effects of cannabis use.
You might be aware of the 2018 Farm Bill that federally legalized hemp production. But this does raise a common question—does Delta-9 also fall under this legislation?
In a nutshell, the answer is a resounding yes! At the time of this writing, most cannabinoids and derivatives of hemp, encompassing CBD, Delta 8, and Delta 9, are legal. In 2019, Florida's Hemp Bill SB 1020 extended the legality of all products stemming from the hemp plant within the state's jurisdiction.
There are no restrictions on CBD or Delta 8 concentrations, and you can lawfully acquire products that contain hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, provided the concentration does not exceed 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
However, it's essential to note that any hemp product utilized must align with Florida's governing laws and regulations.
Purchasing Delta 9 products online in Florida is not only possible but also a hassle-free process! In fact, if you've previously bought full-spectrum CBD products in the state, you've already bought Delta 9.
The process of purchasing Delta 9 in Florida is straightforward given the legality of selling hemp products online, transacted via credit or debit card. It's common for Florida residents to buy their products online for Delta-9 products.
While Delta 9 THC is generally considered safe for consumption in appropriate doses, it's not without potential side effects. As mentioned above, some individuals may experience anxiety, paranoia, or even hallucinations, especially at higher doses.
Long-term use can potentially lead to dependence and can also exacerbate mental health disorders in certain individuals. Therefore, it's crucial to use Delta 9 THC responsibly, starting with a small dose and gradually increasing as necessary.
]]>The 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized the cultivation of hemp nationwide, has ensured that Delta-9 THC is federally legal. This legislation has brought relief to farmers across the country and made most cannabinoids derived from hemp legally permissible. Indiana is among the numerous states that have echoed the federal law by implementing similar provisions regarding hemp.
According to Indiana Code 15-15-13, hemp derivatives, cannabinoids, and isomers are fully legal within the state's jurisdiction. This legislation encompasses hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, provided it complies with the state's stipulated criteria. Specifically, a hemp product with a Delta-9 THC concentration exceeding 0.3% on a dry weight basis would be classified as "marijuana," which is presently prohibited in Indiana.
Delta 9 THC, or Delta 9 Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the primary psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. It's responsible for the 'high' that is typically associated with marijuana. This compound interacts with the endocannabinoid system in the human body, specifically binding to CB1 receptors in the brain. This interaction can induce a variety of sensory and psychological changes.
The effects of Delta 9 THC can vary widely depending on a range of factors, including the consumed dose, the user's body chemistry, and their tolerance to THC. Generally, Delta 9 THC can induce feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and altered perception of time and space. It can also stimulate appetite, a phenomenon colloquially known as 'the munchies.'
However, some users may experience less desirable effects, especially at higher doses. These can include anxiety, paranoia, or dizziness. It's also not uncommon for users to experience dry mouth and red eyes.
While Delta 9 THC is generally safe for most users when consumed in appropriate doses, it does have the potential to cause unwanted side effects, especially when consumed in excess. These can range from feelings of anxiety and paranoia to physical effects like dizziness and increased heart rate.
Moreover, there is potential for developing dependence with long-term use, and those with underlying mental health conditions may find their symptoms exacerbated by Delta 9 THC. It's also important to note that Delta 9 THC can interact with other medications. Therefore, it's always recommended to consult with a healthcare provider if you're considering using Delta 9 THC for medical purposes.
In conclusion, while Delta 9 THC derived from marijuana is not broadly legal in Indiana, hemp-derived Delta 9 THC products are permissible. As always, staying up-to-date with the latest laws and research is key to ensuring safe and legal use.
]]>If you live in this beautiful place or are considering a summer road trip there, you may be wondering if you can also enjoy Delta 9 legally in Louisiana.
Fortunately, the answer is yes! Delta 9 can be enjoyed in Louisiana, along with everything from crawfish to beignets to the music and revelry of New Orleans’ French Quarter! Read on to learn more about Delta 9 in Louisiana below.
The 2018 Farm Bill paved the way for not only Louisiana but many other states to introduce legislation regarding hemp products. The following year, Louisiana’s governor signed into law House Bill 491, which made the important distinction between products derived from the hemp plant and those derived from the marijuana plant.
This is fantastic news for anyone who wants to enjoy the refreshing and relaxing benefits of high-quality gummies and delicious drink mixes containing fast-acting Delta 9!
HB 491 (and numerous other state laws like it) have made it legal to sell hemp-derived Delta 9 THC that does not exceed 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis. Thanks to this legislation, you can be confident that your enjoyment of a satisfying Delta 9 buzz is completely legal!
If you are new to hemp-derived Delta 9 THC, you may have questions about how it differs from other forms of THC. You may have also heard of Delta 8 THC, which is indeed similar but not identical.
Delta 8 and Delta 9 can be differentiated by their molecular structure, and understanding this structure will explain how they were named. Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the eighth carbon in its carbon link. Delta 9 THC has (you guessed it!) a double bond on the ninth carbon in its carbon link.
This seemingly slight difference actually makes a noticeable impact on how the two different types affect our bodies. Simply put, Delta 9 THC creates a stronger euphoric effect.
In addition to some confusion about Delta 8 versus Delta 9, many people often misunderstand Delta 9 altogether. It is not uncommon to come across the assumption that Delta 9 THC is only found in the marijuana plant.
It certainly can be extracted from marijuana, but the hemp plant also contains Delta 9 THC, which circles us back to how it became legal in the first place. The legislative distinctions between hemp and marijuana plants opened the door for legalizing products with hemp-derived Delta 9 THC.

Whether you are looking for an uplifting buzz as you cheer on the Packers or a mellow vibe as you spend summer days on one of the state’s more than 15,000 lakes, Wisconsin residents can legally enjoy Delta 9 THC products, and we have the skinny on how and why it’s legal below.
The game changer for Delta 9 THC products came in the form of the 2018 Farm Bill, which drew important distinctions between hemp and marijuana plants.
Once the Federal bill was enacted, many states, including Wisconsin, followed suit with their own legislation.
Specifically, the legal sale of Delta 9 THC products is covered by Wis. Stat. 94.55. This legislation defines and covers hemp production, including the following: “A person may plant, grow, cultivate, harvest, produce, sample, test, process, transport, transfer, take possession of, sell, import, and export hemp in this state to the greatest extent allowed under federal law.”
Currently, that “extent” is defined as below 0.3% dry weight.
One of the most common misconceptions about Delta 9 THC is that it is only found in the marijuana plant. This is why many people question whether the use of Delta 9 THC is legal in their states.
The bottom line is Delta 9 THC can absolutely be derived from a plant other than marijuana, namely hemp. And when derived from hemp in concentrations less than 0.3% dry weight, Delta 9 THC is indeed legal.
Hemp-derived Delta 9 THC can be used in gummies, drink mixes, and other products for a legal (and thoroughly enjoyable!) buzz!
Realize gummies and drink mixes are ideal for those looking for everything from a mellow and relaxing buzz to a euphoric lift. These reliable and refreshing products not only provide the fantastic effects of hemp-derived Delta 9 THC, but they also happen to be wildly delicious!
We’ve made sure your Delta 9 THC experience will taste as great as it feels with flavors like Watermelon Gelato and Citrus Mango. Even when the winter temperatures are bitter and unforgiving in Wisconsin, and you spend your mornings shoveling snow-packed driveways, Realize Delta 9 THC products can send your tastebuds on vacation to warmer tropical climates!
In addition to the confusion surrounding marijuana versus hemp, there is also common confusion about the substances we derive from the plants for recreational use. If you are considering gummies or drink mixes for the first time and deciding what products to buy, you may wonder about the differences between Delta 8 and Delta 9.
Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC have different molecular structures, and understanding this structure will explain how they were named. Delta 8 THC has a double bond on the eighth carbon in its carbon link.
Delta 9 THC has a double bond on the ninth carbon in its carbon link. This difference, slight as it may seem, actually makes a big impact when it comes to how the two different types of hemp-derived THC affect our bodies. Delta 9 THC is known to create a stronger euphoric effect.
Everybody is different in terms of how their bodies react to THC, and all sorts of factors play into this (such as weight, metabolism, and age, to name a few). Delta 8 THC might give you a relaxing and enjoyable buzz, and there is no shame in that game! The research and development surrounding HHC is still very new, and many questions remain to explore as it becomes more common in the hemp-derived product market. To better understand questions surrounding the legal use of HHC, we will first start at the beginning: what is HHC, anyway?
Based on the naming convention, you could probably guess that HHC is a “relative” of THC. Hexahydrocannabinol is THC that has been hydrogenated. While its existence has been known since the 1940s, it is still a minor cannabinoid, so it has not received the same attention as other cannabinoids like THC.
HHC is still in the very early stages of commercial production. Hemp products were given a massive boost by the 2018 Farm Bill, which drew a distinction between the hemp and marijuana plants and created legislation that completely changed the landscape of how hemp-made products could be sold legally in the United States.
Naturally, hemp growers sought to produce cost-effective products with consumer demand. HHC is tricky in that regard: its natural occurrence in cannabis is so small that it can be tough to extract it in a way that is cost-effective for manufacturers of cannabis products.
Additionally, we still do not have tremendous amounts of research on HHC to validate its effects and benefits. It remains one of the more underdeveloped areas of hemp-derived products.
However, continued and growing interest in hemp product manufacturing may change that in the future, and there may be a time when we see more HHC products available to consumers.
The answer is both! HHC does occur naturally in cannabis, but only in very small amounts. The pivotal moment for HHC occurred when chemist Roger Adams added hydrogen to THC in the 1940s, altering its physical properties to produce the compound synthetically.
By producing HHC through this process of hydrogenation, the end result is a modified molecular structure that stands up better to UV light and heat. What this means for its use in various products is that HHC will have a longer shelf life, which is promising news for manufacturers considering HHC in their products as we learn more about its uses and effects.
A double bond in THC is replaced with two hydrogen atoms to create HHC, so you end up with something that is not identical to THC but may produce similar effects (more on this below!).
While interest is growing in the possibilities for extracting and manufacturing HHC to introduce more variety in the hemp product market, there are also a number of questions concerning the legality of HHC use in consumer products.
When it comes to laws related to hemp-derived products, the key piece of legislation to note is the 2018 Farm Bill. This bill completely changed the consumer product landscape and set into motion a framework for state legislatures to follow in setting their own regulations when it comes to hemp farming and hemp-derived product distribution.
The 2018 Farm Bill made an important distinction between hemp and marijuana plants, making it legal for hemp-derived products with under 0.3% Delta 9 THC (dry weight) to be manufactured and sold.
This is why we now have a consumer market ripe with Delta 9 products, such as gummies and drink mixes, and manufacturers are looking for ways to diversify that market and continue to meet consumer demand. Many states passed their own specific legislation after the Farm Bill was passed, modeled after its structure and allowing for hemp-derived Delta 9 THC products to be used legally by residents.
In 2022, a federal court in California confirmed that Delta 8 THC was considered legal under the Farm Bill and “all other compounds and derivatives of hemp” as long as they contained no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC.
This ruling would lead most people to assume that HHC is legal as long as it meets the requirement of having less than 0.3% dry weight Delta 9 THC. However, the tricky piece here is that an individual state could still pass laws banning the manufacture or sale of HHC, so it is not a cut and dry issue.
It seems inevitable that future legislation will carve out specific treatments for various compounds derived from hemp as we learn more about them. Until then, ensuring HHC use is legal will need to be reviewed on a state-by-state basis.
Because we think of HHC as a “cousin” of THC, we can assume there is some general overlap in terms of its effects. However, we have less research and evidence to go on, as HHC use is extremely limited, and we know much more about Delta 9 THC, thanks to a larger product market.
HHC could offer a similar buzz or euphoric feeling experienced with Delta 9 THC, and anecdotally we hear the effects are generally somewhere between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC.
Gummies and drink mixes with hemp-derived THC are often associated with a mellow, relaxing, or euphoric buzz, dependent upon the quantity and the individual. It should be expected that HHC would also vary in its effects based on contributing factors such as metabolism, weight, age, and food intake, to name a few.
Again, with the limited research and development thus far, HHC data is still uncertain when it comes to drug testing. We do not yet know definitively the way HHC shows up in drug testing— regardless of whether the test samples urine, hair, or blood. The way THC and HHC metabolize in the body relates to how they are detected in drug panels, and we simply do not have the same data about HHC as we do THC.
HHC products are extremely limited and not yet available in a widespread or meaningful way in the consumer marketplace. Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC products, on the other hand, are available and legal to enjoy thanks to the Farm Bill and various state laws.

South Dakota | Legal | HHC is legal only for adults over 21 years old. |
Tennessee | Legal | State law considers hemp-derived cannabinoids legal as long as the product contains no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC. |
Texas | Likely Legal | HHC is probably legal in Texas because lawmakers haven't addressed its status yet. |
Utah | Illegal | HHC, THC-O, delta-8 and delta-10 based products are illegal in Utah, regardless of whether they come from hemp or marijuana. |
Vermont | Likely Illegal | HHC is obtained using a similar process as delta-8 THC, which is illegal, so the same laws may apply to HHC. |
Virginia | Legal | You can buy HHC in Virginia because state law treats all hemp-derived cannabinoids the same way as the 2018 Farm Bill. |
Washington | Illegal | HHC is a controlled substance in Washington. |
West Virginia | Legal | HHC is legal as long as the end product contain 0.3% delta-9 THC or less. |
Wisconsin | Likely Legal | HHC is allowed if the hemp-derived product doesn't exceed 0.3% delta-9 THC. |
Wyoming | Likely Legal | The state allows all hemp-derived products that contain 0.3% delta-9 THC or less on a dry weight basis. |
When derived from hemp in concentrations less than 0.3% by dry weight, hemp-derived Delta 9 THC products are federally legal in the United States, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill that removed hemp as a federally controlled substance. This legislation states that any hemp with Delta 9 THC levels at or below 0.3% dry weight meet the federal standards.
One Realize Live Resin gummy weighs 3.5 grams or 3500mg
3500 mg x 0.003% = 10.5mg THC allowed per gummy
Gummy weight x % Legal Limit = Amount of Delta 9 THC allowed
At Realize we manufacture our products below the legal limit. For example our gummies are formulated with 10mg Delta 9 THC per gummy.
Due to some state restrictions unfortunately we cannot ship Delta 9 THC products to Arizona, Idaho, Nebraska and Oregon.
As we mentioned earlier, every person will react to substances differently. This means your delta 9 THC high may not last as long as someone else’s.
When taking the recommended dose of delta 9 edibles, the effects will typically last between three to five hours. Taking more than the recommended dose of delta 9 edibles can cause the effects to last longer—typically between six to eight hours.
It’s important to always start with the recommended dosage of delta 9 THC products to see how your body will react to it. Users may experience mild side effects, including paranoia, hallucinations, or believing that they have an increased heart rate.
While these side effects are mild, they can last the duration of the high, leaving the user with a less than enjoyable experience. Consuming more than the recommended dosage of delta 9 THC products can exacerbate these side effects and cause them to last as long as six to eight hours.
Hemp-derived delta 9 THC products are safe if consumed responsibly. This is why it is important to understand the recommended dosage amount and to only consume that amount. When you consume more than the recommended dose, you will feel the effects of the delta 9 THC stronger and longer. This can also cause you to experience side effects you may not otherwise feel when taking the recommended amount.
We always recommend consuming the recommended dosage for our edibles so that you can see how your body will react to them. This will help you understand if you need to take an additional dosage to feel the effects. Just make sure you wait at least 90 minutes before taking an additional dosage since the effects can be felt as many as 90 minutes after consumption.
If you think you have taken too much delta 9 THC, try to sleep it off. Resting and giving in to the feeling will help pass the time and make the experience more enjoyable. The effects can last as long as eight hours if too much delta 9 has been taken, so try to fall asleep to pass the time.
Finally, you should always be a responsible consumer of cannabis products. Do not drive or operate any machinery after taking delta 9 THC products. Enjoy them in your home or at a safe location.
]]>So, to ensure that you do not get tangled in the tripwires of North Carolinian laws regarding Delta 9 THC-infused products such as THC drinks, disposable vapes, and edibles, we conducted our research on the legality of Delta 9 THC in North Carolina and detailed the results in this article.
Enjoy!
In June 2022, the state of North Carolina passed laws that defined hemp as all parts of the cannabis plant with no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. At the same time, hemp products were defined to include all products made from hemp under G.S. 90-87(13b). These new laws, most importantly, now explicitly state that “hemp” includes all extracts, derivatives, cannabinoids, isomers (like Delta 8 THC and Delta 10 THC), and lots more. This new law ensured that products containing these derivatives and isomers qualify as legal hemp products as long as they are sourced from hemp.
To answer the question, is it legal to buy delta 9 THC in North Carolina? The answer is a resounding yes, as long as the product does not contain more than 0.3% concentration on a dry weight basis of Delta 9 THC or any of its derivatives. On a dry weight basis, the plant material's weight is no greater than 13% moisture content.
Usually, as a consumer, you rarely have to worry about any of this because all you have to keep in mind is that most Delta 9 THC products are manufactured to comply with the regulation of most states in the United States.
Perhaps, a better understanding of Delta 9 THC might mitigate any doubts you have about its legality in North Carolina, its potency, and the duration of its effects.
Delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a naturally occurring isomer of THC. It is responsible for the euphoric feeling experienced after the consumption of any THC-infused product, such as gummies or THC drinks.
The most common isomers of THC include Delta 9, Delta 8, and Delta 10 (less talked about, we think it’s because it provides the lightest buzz!) Get it?
Delta 9 THC can be found in cannabis and hemp plants, and it is the most abundant form of THC. Therefore, when most people talk about THC, they most often talk about Delta 9 THC. Delta 9 THC is very effective at triggering the brain to release large amounts of dopamine, also known as “the feel good” chemical.
THC readily binds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the brain to get you high. To put it simply, Delta 9 THC is a type of THC, and THC is the psychoactive chemical found in Hemp and cannabis that helps to provide that euphoric feeling that we love so much!
One of the many reasons for the sudden surge in popularity of Delta 9 THC is its extensive use for recreational purposes by a certain percentage of the population in the United States and worldwide. Many people have reported using products containing Delta 9 THC for stress alleviation, relaxation, euphoria, and the feeling of the light buzz it offers.
Also, some people prefer the more potent euphoric effects that Delta 9 THC offers compared to the feeling of Delta 8 THC. People who prefer a lighter buzz than Delta 9 offers usually go for Delta 8 THC products.
Note: Only Delta 9 THC products derived from hemp are considered legal. Getting Delta 9 from sources such as MJ is still illegal in North Carolina.
Many people would say that all THC products are the same regardless of whether derived from Delta 9 THC or Delta 8 THC. However, a slight difference between Delta 9 and Delta 8 THC makes a world of difference in how they affect consumers.
In essence, Delta 9 THC and Delta 8 THC are similar forms of THC, but with a unique difference in the arrangement of their molecular structure, providing distinct effects to their consumers.
Delta 8 THC is a derivative of Delta 9 THC. However, while Delta 9 THC has a double bond located on the ninth carbon in its linkage, the double bond in Delta 8 THC is found on the eighth carbon in its carbon link. You don’t have to care too much about the differences in their molecular structures. What you need to know is how they both affect your body.
Delta 9 THC provides a stronger euphoric effect than Delta 8 THC!

Like most states in the United States, the 2018 farm Bill made it possible for low-THC derivatives of cannabis, such as CBD products and other hemp-derived products, to be purchased and consumed with no legal repercussions. It didn’t take long for Delta 9 THC to become legal in South Carolina, just like in North Carolina.
The South Carolina House Bill 3449, signed by Governor Henry McMaster, ensured that all derivatives of the cannabis plants in the form of extracts, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) isomers, and much more are legal to produce, sell, purchase, and consume.
Hemp is defined as the plant Cannabis sativa L. and includes any part of the plant and every derivative, isomer, cannabinoids, salts, extracts, and any related chemical with less than 0.3% concentration of Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. Hemp was therefore removed from the Schedule I list by the 2018 Farm Bill. This form of hemp (containing less than 3% of Delta 9 THC) is known as commercial hemp and is considered fully legal in South Carolina.
It is important to note that any substance containing more than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC is considered under the Schedule I list and is, therefore, illegal!
Luckily for most consumers, most of the Delta 9 THC products produced in the United States in the form of edibles and drinks for recreation and relaxation are compliant with the regulations of most states in the United States.
So, yes! It is absolutely legal to purchase Delta 9 THC products in South Carolina as long as it contains less than 0.3% concentration on a dry weight basis.
Delta 9 THC is a naturally occurring isomer of THC, the most abundant form of THC in hemp. Delta 9 THC is responsible for the euphoric feeling that most people feel when consuming any hemp-derived THC product.
Delta 9 THC readily binds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the brain to provide the buzz you feel when you consume any Delta 9 THC products, either as edibles or THC drinks. Delta 9 THC is popular for its extensive use as a recreational psychoactive substance that helps with relaxation, stress alleviation, and euphoria.
Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC are two of the most common isomers of Delta 9 THC. Delta 8 THC products typically have a less intense euphoric and more relaxing effect than Delta 9 THC products. While Delta 8 is a naturally occurring cannabinoid, it is found in a very small amount. Therefore, Delta 8 THC is usually synthesized from cannabidiol (CBD), a compound extracted from legal hemp, to get a higher percentage of Delta 8 THC within the legal limit of 0.3% concentration by dry weight.
Delta 8 THC is the most common form of THC extracted from legal hemp that is not Delta 9 THC, and it is one of the many psychoactive chemicals contained in small amounts in legal hemp and other forms of cannabis. Many manufacturers and convenience stores began offering Delta 8 THC products across South Carolina after the state declared hemp-derived products with less than 0.3% concentration of Delta 9 THC legal.
According to the opinion issued by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office in October 2021, Delta 8 could be potentially unlawful under South Carolina’s Hemp Farming Act. The office made a point to mention that the SCAG still categorizes all THC isomers as Schedule I Controlled substances unless exempted explicitly in Section 44-53-190(D). Since the Hemp Farming Act only exempts Delta 9 THC products, Delta 8 THC products are potentially illegal. However, no law explicitly states that Delta 8 THC is illegal to purchase or consume.
You can now legally purchase Delta 9 THC products in South Carolina. The safest and most reliable way of purchasing Delta 9 THC products developed and manufactured in a well-controlled environment and made according to state regulations is by buying from online stores.

To ensure that the next time you go hunting for one of your favorite THC-infused edibles, delta 8 disposables, drinks, you know the difference between those containing THCa and Delta 9 THC, we discuss the differences between THCa and Delta 9 THC, and answer the question, “Is THCa stronger than Delta 9?”
Delta 9 THC is one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis and hemp plants, and upon consumption, it provides a relaxing and consistent buzz for its user. Delta 9 THC is regarded as the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis and hemp that gets people high and euphoric. In recent years, CBD (cannabidiol) has increased in popularity due to its many benefits, such that when people mention hemp, they immediately think of CBD. However, legal Delta 9 THC, according to the 2018 Farm Bill, is any form of Delta 9 THC obtained from Hemp with a concentration no greater than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
Several Delta 9 and Delta 8 (an isomer of Delta 9) THC products can be found in many online stores across the United States, and most of them are in compliance with the federal and state regulation of 0.3% THC concentration on the basis of dry weight as the maximum that can be found in any product.
In terms of molecular structure, THCa is very similar to THC. However, it contains extra molecular carboxyl rings that make it impossible for it to bind to the BC1 and BC2 receptors in the brain. The molecular structure of THCa makes it impossible to get high by consuming it raw. But there is a catch, THCa can be converted to Delta 9 THC in the presence of heat or sunlight through a process called decarboxylation. Typically, The decarboxylation of cannabis helps to remove the carboxyl group from the cannabinoid molecule. Carboxylation helps to convert THCa into THC.
THCa is the acidic form of THC that does not provide any psychoactive effect of euphoria and feel-good sensations when consumed in its raw state. THCa is called a precursor molecule because its final state after exposure to a heat source or the sun is Delta 9 THC. Therefore, to get the psychoactive, euphoric, and intoxicating effect that Delta 9 THC delivers, THCa simply needs to be exposed to a heat source and consumed immediately.
It has been established through experimentation that THCa converts to Delta 9 THC, the most common and abundant form of THC, at a maximum (theoretical) conversion rate of 87.7%. Essentially, for every gram of THCa, 0.877 grams of Delta 9 THC is obtained.
The best way to obtain THC from THCa is by exposing it to heat through smoking, vaping, dabbing, or cooking to help extract Delta 9 THC!
THCa and Delta 9 THC have similar potency, with THCa becoming psychoactive through decarboxylation via vaporization or smoking. Although their differences are minimal, it is unclear if THCa has a stronger effect than Delta 9 THC due to limited research.
In essence, the primary difference between THCa and Delta 9 THC is that the former does not produce any euphoric effect when consumed in its raw form until it is converted to THC in the presence of heat through vaping, smoking, or cooking. Delta 9 THC, on the other hand, is an active substance that readily provides psychoactive properties when consumed.
REALIZE is a company founded to create innovative cannabis and hemp consumer products. REALIZE’s store provides customers like you with various Delta 9 products like the Realize Live Resin Gummies, Blueberry in Grandaddy Purple, disposable vapes, and so much more!
REALIZE invests heavily in researching and developing the most advanced cannabis formulas and THC delivery systems for its products to ensure that customers always have the best and most reliable experience.
Realize THCa vapes contain THCa Diamonds which are the most pure form THCa. THCa, in its raw form, is non-intoxicating, but once it is decarboxylated, it transforms into the psychoactive Delta 9 THC, making it a potent product. Vaping THCa allows for a quick and efficient way to consume cannabis, delivering a clean and pure high. With its high potency, THCa vapes are an ideal choice for those looking for a strong and fast-acting cannabis experience. If you're in search of a powerful and high-quality cannabis product, THCa vapes are definitely worth considering.
While THCa and Delta 9 THC are similar compounds found in the cannabis plant, THCa is regarded as a non-active compound since it does not provide its user with any psychoactive effect until it is exposed to heat. Delta 9 THC, on the other hand, is the primary active ingredient found in hemp-derived THC products, providing the euphoric effect the consumer feels.
THCa is converted to Delta 9 THC when it is heated; therefore, THCa is not more potent than THC. Instead, THCa converts to Delta 9 THC at a theoretical rate of 87.7%. You get slightly less Delta 9 THC for every gram of THCa converted.
If you want our high-quality THC products in bulk, we offer high-quality Delta 8 Wholesale and Delta 9 Wholesale products in the United States and beyond at competitive prices.
Note:
While the 2018 Farm Bill legalized these products on a federal level, state laws may impose restrictions. Please note that these laws are subject to change and we may not have the most up-to-date information listed.
Delta 9 THC
The states where Delta 9 THC products, such as, disposables, edibles and drinks, are prohibited include:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota , Oregon , Utah , Vermont and Washington
]]>While Delta 9 THC is the naturally occurring form of THC in hemp and other cannabis variants, and it is responsible for the usual high that people experience when they consume THC-infused products. Delta 8 THC is similar in molecular structure to Delta 9. However, it provides lesser psychoactive effects to its user.
In this article, we provide details on the potency of Delta 8 THC products, the duration of the effects of such products, and where to get them.

Very few people know this, but Delta 8 THC is also called “Delta 8 Desaturase.” Delta 8 THC is an isomer (a derivative) of Delta 9, providing a psychoactive effect similar to that of Delta 9 THC. In essence, Delta 8 THC is Delta 9 THC but with a less potent buzz!
Around 25 to 30% of Delta 9 THC converts into Delta 8 THC in the body. In the end, Delta 8 and Delta 9 produce the expected psychoactive effect of Delta 9 THC. Delta 8 is considered a minor cannabinoid because it is found in minimal quantities in hemp and other forms of cannabis. However, larger concentrations of Delta 8 can be synthesized from cannabidiol (CBD) obtained from hemp.
Delta 8 THC is quickly becoming more popular among legal THC users who prefer the milder potency of THC. The Pow Pow Delta 8 Infused Sugar is one such product.
One question we often get from our clients is, “How long does delta 8 high last?”
The truth is, the duration for which a delta 8 THC-induced buzz or “high” lasts depends on several factors, including the metabolism of the user, the medium through which it is consumed (e.g., gummies, tinctures, drinks, etc.), body fat, and so much more.
However, that said, the half-life of Delta 8 THC is similar to that of Delta 9 THC, which is about 3-8 hours, depending on dosage and mode of consumption.
The effectiveness of both Delta 8 and Delta 9 THCs are affected by similar factors. Some of those factors include:
Age: Younger people will likely experience more substantial psychoactive effects from Delta 8 and 9. However, older people over 50 will also likely experience intense euphoric effects.
Food Intake: People who eat regularly before ingesting or consuming THC are more likely to tolerate its effects than people with irregular eating patterns.
Body Fat: People with a higher concentration of fat in their body usually experience a more intense THC experience because fat helps to absorb THC more easily, and it also prevents the rapid release of THC into the bloodstream, making it stay in the system for longer!
Metabolism: People with a high metabolic rate tend to break down Delta 8 and 9 THC more quickly and, therefore, might experience reduced psychoactive effects of Delta 8 due to the lower concentration in their bodies.
The significant difference between a high from Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC is that Delta 8 provides a less intense euphoria or highness. Many people say the effect of Delta 8 is half as strong as that of Delta 9.
Also, some people argue that Delta 8 gives them a clearer head to think even while they feel the effects. These people usually think the effects of Delta 9 THC products are too intense for them.
Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC are very similar compounds that produce psychoactive responses in the body. The significant difference between Delta 8 and Delta 9 is that Delta 8 provides a less intense euphoric effect than Delta 9 THC does. However, the effects of Delta 8 are known to last as long as that of Delta 9. However, Delta 8, like Delta 9, can remain detectable in the body system for up to 3 days after consumption.
The typical half-life for Delta 8 in the body is reported to be 3 to 8 hours, depending on factors like body type, fat intake, metabolism rate, etc. The half-life of Delta 8 is similar to that of Delta 9.
REALIZE provides high-quality Delta 8 and Delta 9 products through its online store to ensure every customer experiences a reliable, euphoric, and relaxing THC experience.
